A Reiki Primer

Reiki (ray-key) is a healing modality involving the manipulation of universal energy to open and correct imbalances of the human body and spirit.

When you are seeking alternative healers, particularly Reiki healers, some of the things you should look for are credentials, intentions, and integrity.

Make a call to your potential Reiki healer and ask about his or her credentials; i.e. where they’ve been initiated, with whom they’ve studied, and what style of Reiki they practice.

If their credentials resonate with you, take the next step and request a few testimonials.  You may also visit their websites for testimonials posted there.    Testimonials help you evaluate a healer’s intentions through providing examples of how they interact with their clients.

A healer’s integrity, being much more difficult to nail down, can be determined by how the healer is interacting with you and how they talk about the process of healing you.
